In Russia’s Bashkortostan region located in the southern Urals, Uchaly Mining and Processing Enterprise is one of the country’s leading producers of zinc and copper concentrates. When Uchaly exhausted its original open pit deposits, the company decided to dig deeper.
Today, its Mine Construction Department is developing several underground mines. The task requires state-of-the-art equipment. The Mine Construction Department built on Uchaly’s established partnership with Sandvik, which dates back to the 1990s.
