Sandvik and Barrick improve drill safety

Sandvik Mining engineers collaborated with Barrick Gold equipment operators to evaluate a new drill’s safety features and recommend enhancements before the product launches globally. The formal process is called EMESRT Design Evaluation for EME Procurement (EDEEP), and was created by global mining companies in an effort to develop safer equipment.
