The Chuanyandong open-pit phosphate mine in China’s Guizhou Province is a model of drilling and blasting efficiency. Contractor Guizhou New Orion Drilling Technology & Services Co. Ltd. works with the Wengfu Phosphate Group to produce 3.5 million tonnes per year, relying on the flexibility and efficiency of Sandvik rotary rigs to drill blastholes.
