Sandvik will deliver eight Sandvik MB670-1 bolter miners to Russian coal producer SUEK.

Groundbreaking business

Sandvik won a supply deal with SUEK, the leading coal producer in Russia, after SUEK had broken several of their own cutting records with the Sandvik equipment they already had in place.

Sandvik has won a supply agreement with SUEK, the leading coal producer in Russia and one of the world’s largest coal companies. The deal includes eight Sandvik MB670-1 bolter miners designed for roadway development of longwall mining. The deal was agreed after SUEK was impressed with the Sandvik units it had in place already, as its three Sandvik MR340s and four Sandvik MB670s set several cutting records over the past couple of years. Along with the equipment, Sandvik and SUEK will work closely together to ensure all operators are fully trained, and that parts stock is readily available to minimize potential downtime.
