Saving face

A new mobile crushing plant from Sandvik has replaced an aging stationary plant and provided pit design flexibility for the Oconee County Quarry in South Carolina. The new dual powered plant can be relocated indefinitely, enabling the quarry to size, crush, screen and stockpile as close to the face as possible, reducing production costs. The quarry also has the flexibility to freely alternate power supply between onboard diesel generators and the main electric network.
