Silent treatment

Tunneling contractor Lemminkäinen Infra Oy is excavating a network of tunnels covering the equivalent area of more than 14 football pitches beneath Espoo, Finland. When the Blominmäki underground wastewater treatment plant is completed in 2020, it will be able to clean the wastewater of more than 400,000 residents. Lemminkäinen relies on two Sandvik DT1131i jumbos to excavate the tunnels.
